Catherine McCullough has served as a Director of Education with the Sudbury Catholic District School Board since 2007. Her career began with the Dufferin-Peel RCSSB and then 17 years with Simcoe Muskoka CDSB where she worked as a teacher, consultant, elementary and secondary principal and a Supervisory Officer. She graduated with a Master of Education from Brock University and the Rotman Schools of Business with a certificate in Strategic Leadership. She has recently completed her Executive Coaching Certification through Fielding University, and the Prosci certification in change management.

She has served on numerous provincial committees and has Co-chaired the Directors’ Council on Aboriginal Education (DCAE) – a joint committee composed of Ontario Directors of Education and the Ministry of Education Catherine also serves as an Advisory Member for the Martin Aboriginal Education Initiative led by the Right Honorable Paul Martin.

In addition Catherine has served as the Director representative for the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) and leadership development in education has been an area of interest and expertise.

She is currently working with Dr. Ken Leithwood on a project for Directors of Education and System Leaders, leveraging his research of what successful school districts do.

Effective May 1st, 2014 Catherine will launch her company CMCLeadership, acting as a leadership coach and team facilitator who brings the understanding and insights of over 33 years experience as a senior leader, consultant, facilitator and coach in her work with executives and teams. Catherine’s expertise is in leadership development, change management and capacity building in an organization.
